Pacific Islanders make up a vibrant part of the immigration landscape in many countries, but very little attention is paid to the educational systems in their home countries. Distance and colonial and missionary influences have had a significant impact on education in this region. While there are similarities and common challenges among the systems, there are also variations from one country to another. Join us as we explore the region focusing on educational systems, how the countries collaborate, various educational pathways, and more. Educational ladders, recognition resources, and document samples from a selection of countries including Samoa, Tonga, Fiji, and Papua New Guinea are shared.
